What does Debthound do?
Debthound aims to make debt notification and collection easier and more affordable for small business. We make it really simple to send a personal SMS to each of your debtors to remind them of the amount outstanding. Automatically personalised messages are dispatched from a simple online interface and delivered directly to clients' cell phones, wherever they are, at any time of the day or night.
How does it work?
After signup and logging in, you can begin adding your debtors to the Debthound system. Then you compose the SMS message and have them sent instantly or at regular intervals into the future. Your messages are delivered automatically on schedule 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! SMS's are delivered immediately at high speed from our world-class gateway.
How do I list clients on the system?
Clients can be added individually via an online form or in batches directly from your Microsoft Excel (or similar) spreadsheet software. You can list contacts with the bare minimum of a first name and a phone number, or extend that information to include their full name, the amount due and the due date. The added parameters can then be used dynamically to personalise your SMS text messages.
When are my messages delivered?
Whenever you want them to. You specify the month, hour and minute you want messages to be sent. These can be single time-points, e.g. Mondays at 8:00AM, or regular intervals such as every Monday and Friday morning.
How much does it cost?
Signup and membership are free! To start sending messages, one purchases credits - the more credits you buy the cheaper they become. If you include the Debthound website address in your SMS we will even give you extra SMS credits.
How do I know that my clients get my messages?
Each message is tracked and feedback is reported to you directly from the mobile network used for delivery. Delivery reports are shown on the home screen at the click of a button. You will be informed the instant that your client opens your message.
Does it really work for debt collection?
The system aims to provide cheap, direct contact with your most trying debtors on a regular basis - nudging them to make repayments through one of the many conveniently located EasyPay payment points. It is the combination of regular reminders and convenient, easy repayment locations that makes this method of debt collection so unforgettably effective.
