Step 1Sign up All lifelong relationships start with a single step. Our relationship starts with a single click on the "sign up now" button.
Step 2View your Debthound Dashboard Once you have signed up and logged in, you will see your personal Debthound page (what
we like to call your Debthound Dashboard).
To see how wonderfully simple it is to send a Debthound SMS, enter your cellphone number
and a test message and hit the "Send instant SMS" button.

Step 3Add your contacts Now you should add the cellphone numbers of the people that you wish to SMS. Simply click on "add new contact" to add each contact individually, or click on "bulk upload contacts" to add a whole list of contacts using Microsoft Excel.

Step 4Write the SMS message Ok, now for the fun bit: writing the SMS message that you wish to send. To save you time, we have created a few basic SMS messages already. Simply click on "Add new SMS template" to create your own message.

You can write a simple message that everyone will see, or you can personalise the message.
A personalised SMS means that some words (e.g. first name) will change for each person
that receives an SMS.
In the example below, I have started to create a new SMS template called "Debt notice". You
can see that I have inserted the placeholder called {first} to have the client's first name
inserted in each SMS.

Step 5Create your SMS campaign Almost there!
Now we combine the SMS message, the contacts and the timing of the message. This is
called an SMS campaign.
Click on "add a new campaign" to create your SMS campaign.

Next we give the SMS campaign a name (e.g. Late payments), choose the SMS message
template (e.g. Overdue account), and select the contacts to receive the message.
You will notice how the preview window creates personalised messages for each of the
selected contacts.

And finally, we set the timing (or "schedule") of the SMS campaign.
Here you simply click on the time of day, day of the month, and day of the week that you
would like the SMS message to be sent.
In this example, I have asked that the message be sent 9am and 5pm every Monday and
Friday.

If you do not wish to set a time schedule for automatic messaging, but simply want to
manually send the messages every now and then, then click "send now". This will send the
messages instantly. You can do this again in future by editing this SMS campaign and
clicking on "send now" again.
And that's it! Simply click on "Save campaign" and it is ready for activation.
Step 6Need more help? Simply click on feedback and send us your question. We will get right back to you.
